Demo Video of MBON Portal

Elementary Students Learn About Biodiversity and Climate

In January and February 2017, students at two elementary schools in Pinellas County learned about coral reef biodiversity and climate by engaging in a new four-week series of activities developed by Chris Simoniello, MBON GCOOS outreach lead. Chris Simoniello, Ph.D., GCOOS/MBON Outreach and Education is working with three schools in Pinellas County to incorporate IOOS and MBON into the curricula. MBON at Sanctuary Film Event

May 6th, 2016, Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary research coordinator Andrew DeVogelaere took part in an expert panel discussion that followed a screening of the film ‘Racing Extinction’.
